Swim

The Eastchester boys swim team had a fantastic conference performance last Saturday! Senior Ian Ntrivalas, Junior Koray Kiyici, and Junior Jackson Boyer all got 2 second places and 1 first. Additionally, Koray got a 9th place, along with Ian and Jack each getting a third place. Let’s congratulate the whole swim team on their excellent performance!

Science Honor Society

The Science Honor Society will have a brief meeting on Tuesday at 3pm in Room 321. Please remember to bring your completed tutoring logs. See you there!

EHS Unified Sports

Calling all Eagles! Want to put the “U” in Unified?! Come to the Interest Meeting afterschool this Thursday, February 6, in the Digital Lab to learn more about the fun and inclusive Unified Sports team here at EHS! All aspiring athletes and partner-athletes are welcome. See Coach Sullivan or Coach Fusca if you have any questions.

The Art Department is pleased to announce The Alliance for Young Artists 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Award winners. The following artists' work was reviewed and recognized by a panel of creative professionals, and awarded for its outstanding merit in originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice and vision.

Sara Roger, Gold Key, Mixed Media Category
Since 1923, the Scholastic Awards have recognized some of the nation’s most celebrated artists and writers while they were teenagers, including Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, José Parlá, Amanda Gorman, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol. We are proud to count the following students among these esteemed Scholastic Art & Writing Awards alumni! Sara Rogers Gold Key artwork will progress to the national level next for judging next month. We wish her the best of luck and congratulations to all the winners!

Art Honor Society

There will be an Art Honor Society meeting this Wednesday, February 5th after school. All members must attend, we will be working on our Spring craft. See you there.

Congratulations to Erika Lunenfeld for honorable mention for her poem and Mary Moser for a silver key award for her essay in the Hudson-to-Housatonic Scholastic Writing submission.

EGO

Calling all Eagles! Severe winter weather and wildfires have forced thousands of blood donations to go uncollected. There is a CRITICAL need for platelets, as well as an emergency shortage for types O and B blood. Sign up for the blood drive on Wednesday, February 26th by visiting redcrossblood.org. If you are 16, grab a parental consent form on the cafeteria whiteboard.
