MyPaymentsPlus

The Eastchester School District maintains a computerized point of sale (POS) system in all school cafeterias.  This provides a convenient and secure way to set up a pre-paid lunch account for your children.  You do not have to pre-pay in order to buy lunch in the cafeteria.  Checks will still be accepted daily.  No cash will be accepted at this time.

There are several ways to pre-pay an account:

You can submit funds directly to your child’s school cafeteria.  Checks should be made payable to Eastchester Union Free School District.  Please send checks in a sealed envelope labeled with your child’s name, grade and amount enclosed.  The deposit amount is not limited and there is no fee to make deposits at the register.  You can monitor and/or add funds to your child’s account using the web-based “MyPaymentsPlus” or utilize the free mobile app for iOS & Android devices for cafeteria payments.  All payments made online or using an app are subject to a fee of 4.75% of the transaction amount.

The free MyPaymentsPlus mobile app allows users to view balances, make payments, monitor cafeteria purchase history, and receive low balance push notifications.  You can also search for MyPaymentsPlus in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.  Features availability may vary by district.

You need to know your child’s school ID number for MyPaymentsPlus. This is not the same as the student PIN that is used to purchase food. This ID number can be found in Home Access Center. It is also noted on students' report cards, as well as high school and middle school schedules.

The following is a general description of the system and its features:

Every student is assigned a personal identification number (PIN) that remains the same K-12.  Each time a student makes a food purchase, he/she will use the PIN or last name.  A school picture of your child will appear on the screen to ensure that the student entering the PIN is using the correct number.  Students should not share their PIN with others.  If the account is pre-paid, a deduction will be made from the student’s account.  Each student’s record of cafeteria purchases can be viewed by parents (whether you choose to pre-pay or not) by registering it.  There is no charge to register, only charges to make deposits.For questions related to the lunch program, contact Laura Cilento.

This program allows for only one meal per breakfast (middle and high school) and one for lunch per student daily.

Specialty, second meals, and à la carte items are not included in this program but can still be made available for purchase.
Students must still input their PIN when receiving a free meal. 
Parents can still use My Payments Plus to pay for meals and food items that are considered additional items, beyond the standard free meal.
Students must have money in their account and not owe a balance to buy additional food.

In order for a meal to be free it must meet state guidelines and consist of 3 out of 5 required components: milk, fruit, vegetables, grain and protein. To qualify as a free meal, students must choose three full portions from the five, and one must be a fruit or vegetable. If the required components are not taken, the meal is not free.
Students may take all components and choose not to consume all of them, but they need to take all 3 in order for the meal to be free.

Free does not mean unlimited; whether it’s food, milk, juice or condiments. Students who choose not to receive a full meal must pay for their milk, juice or condiments. If a student chooses to add to their home lunch, they must take a full serving of fruit and/or vegetable, then choose 2 other components to qualify to receive the free meal.
 

Even though all EUFSD students will be entitled to 1 free lunch, we strongly encourage families to still fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch Application because it may also qualify a family for discounted rates on programs, test registrations, college applications, and more.
