Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
Welcome to Eastchester High School! It is an honor to serve as the principal of this wonderful school, where our mission is to foster a supportive and challenging environment that empowers students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
At EHS, we believe in the potential of every student. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to helping each student develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in school and beyond. We encourage all students to embrace opportunities for growth, take pride in their achievements, and be respectful and kind members of our school community.
We also recognize the important role that families play in the success of our students. We are proud of the partnership we have with parents and guardians, and we invite you to stay engaged in your child’s learning journey. Together, we can provide a safe and welcoming environment where every student has the chance to thrive.

Assistant Principal Gilson's Letter
Dear Eastchester High School Community,
Welcome to Eastchester High School! We are excited to pursue Eastchester High School’s mission of academic excellence, courage, responsible citizenship, and building wisdom. Our goal is to provide a learning experience where students can take a range of challenging courses and have opportunities to participate in co-curricular activities that develop well-rounded adults.
As an Assistant Principal at Eastchester High School, I have had the privilege of serving in several roles including: the Advanced Placement and Testing Coordinator, Athletic and Extracurricular Academic Eligibility Coordinator, overseeing security and safety at the high school, and as one of the DASA Coordinators. I am always looking for new ways to further support students and improve Eastchester High School.
In my role as Assistant Principal, my primary goal is to create an environment where every student feels supported and empowered to reach their full potential. I am passionate about ensuring that all students have the resources and guidance they need to succeed. I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and I am committed to supporting our staff and families in creating an environment that fosters learning, respect, and personal growth.

Dear Eastchester Families and Students,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I step into the role of Assistant Principal here at Eastchester High School. After spending the past 10 years as a math and computer science teacher, I am thrilled to continue serving this incredible community in a new capacity.
Throughout my time here at Eastchester, I have witnessed the strength and spirit of our school—our unwavering commitment to excellence and our deep sense of pride in all that we do. As I transition into this new role, I remain dedicated to fostering an environment where every student feels welcomed, valued, and supported. I believe that our school is at its best when we come together as a community, embracing the unique talents that each individual brings to the table. My goal is to ensure that all students feel a strong sense of belonging, connectedness, and Eagle pride.
Additionally, I am committed to ensuring that our school continues to offer a rich academic experience for all learners. I will work closely with our staff, students, and families to create an environment where rigorous learning, critical thinking, and personal growth are at the forefront of our mission.
I am excited for the year ahead and the opportunities that we will have to continue building on our traditions of excellence while fostering an even greater sense of community and achievement.
